Disney Hotels,
A Brief Description of Each Hotel

Interested in Disney hotels?

One of the big questions people ask is whether to stay on site at Disney World or off. It really depends on how immersed you want to be in your experience at Disney. I've stayed on site with a Disney hotel, I've stayed on property in a non-Disney hotel, and also off-site. Each had it's own benefits and none really had a downfall.

If you won't be renting a car, staying on-site offers you a great transportation option as they have shuttle buses to all areas of their resort including theme parks and Downtown Disney. Here is a list of official Downtown Disney Hotels.

The actual Disney World hotels and resorts are themed, so if you are interested in a specific feel, you may enjoy one hotel over another.

We fell in love with Caribbean Beach, and would happily return there. When we're looking for a little extra room, we stay off site. I also have a time share, so I've stayed in a 3 bedroom unit as well. This year, I'm booked into 2 bedroom units, because I wanted the extra space.

Take the time to read through some of the hotel descriptions to find which one works best for you.

There are three levels of resorts at Disney, the value level which is your standard type of hotel with lots of fun around them. These are very popular with families, so if you're looking for a quieter location, you may want to skip over the value hotels.

The moderate level is the middle level. This is where Caribbean Beach falls, and offers more theme, more charm, and a more relaxed atmosphere. The deluxe level goes up in price sharply, but offers one of a kind, unique and gorgeous resorts. The differences in price between a value and deluxe can be $200 and more.

If you go to the official Disney website, you can get a full list of prices, along with seeing which seasons are less expensive. Go off season, which we do because the weather is incredible, and save big money!
